All cakes and cupcakes made at the 1812 Hitching Post are made fresh in our in-house bakery just before your wedding and are never frozen. Because the finished cake does not need to be transported, you have the advantage of optimal freshness for the best tasting cake possible. Each cake is decorated the day of your wedding. You can’t have a fresher cake!
Design possibilities are endless. Artist Patrick Waldron will design and decorate your cake based on your description or image. Don’t know what kind of cake to choose? Our designer can make suggestions based on the choices you’ve already made for your wedding.
You are welcome to browse through our cake designs, below, to choose a wedding cake you like. You may also send us any design (even one you’ve created yourself) and we’ll create your cake together!
Fondant, painted designs, icing colors other than white, gradient designs, and ribbons other than standard colors are available as an upgrade or may be bride provided. We have a small selection of available cake toppers or we can use our silk flowers, your silk or live flowers, and/or your provided topper to decorate your cake. Most couples provide flowers and topper for their cake.
The 1812 Hitching Post has several cake bases from which you can choose including wooden slab bases, silver bases (round or square), a suitcase, cupcake trees, or we can create a display based on your ideas or theme.
