Lauren & Clayton had perfect weather for their mid-October Sunday wedding. Their 4 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Patrick Waldron of the 1812 Hitching Post.
Ceremony: 1812 Hitching Post provided the natural wood arbor decorated with silk fall leaves and sunflowers and live babies breath. We added two tall galvanized buckets either side of the arbor filled with babies breath. 1812 Hitching Post provided aisle mason jars hung with raffia containing babies breath and sunflowers provided by the bride. Guests signed Jenga pieces that bride provided. Our wine barrel tied with burlap held the couple’s unity candle.
Reception: The tables had full length cream tablecloths. Each place setting had a gold charger topped by a cream napkin and white pumpkin. The centerpieces were created from the bride’s provided painted white bottles and babies breath on top of our wood slab centerpiece bases topped with a doily and our jelly jar candles. Muted fall leaves lined the jelly jars for just a touch of fall color. The chairs were covered and sashed with burlap. It was one of the prettiest reception set-ups I’ve ever seen!
Menu: Appetizers of Carolina crab bites, fig and mascarpone puffs, and spinach dip with tortilla chips
Entrees of grilled chicken and pork tenderloin with sides of roasted red potatoes, sweet potato casserole, tossed salad, and rolls
The wedding cake provided by 1812 Hitching Post was pineapple flavored with apricot filling. It was decorated with white fondant fall leaves cascading over a butter cream iced cake and displayed on our wooden cake base.
Extras: The ceremony included an adorable sign carried by the the groom’s niece, Parker, that said “Uncle Clayton, Here Comes Your Bride” on one side with “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” on the other side. The bride provided shadow boxes of the couple that we put on the mantle. We were given lots of babies breath and sunflowers to use as well as the adorable mini white pumpkins. The couple had their send-off with ribbon wands.
