The 1812 Hitching Post Farm is conveniently located between Harmony and Statesville on US Highway 21 North in Iredell County, North Carolina.  We’re about 8 miles north of the crossroads of Interstate 77 and Interstate 40.

Look for the big yellow house with white pillars and pickets in front with the address “2463” on the fence.

From the West (Asheville/Hickory):
We’re about 40 minutes from Hickory.

Take I-40 to I-77 North. Go north on I-77 one exit (exit 54). Turn right at the top of the exit ramp onto Highway 21 and go north 6.3 miles. We’re on the left after crossing the Rocky Creek bridge.

From the East (RTP/Greensboro):
We’re just over one hour from the Greensboro Highpoint Airport.

Take I-40 west to exit 168. Turn right at the exit onto Hwy. 64. Follow Highway 64 about five miles until 901. Turn right onto 901 and continue until you reach the flashing light in Harmony (intersection of 901 and US 21). Turn left and go south on Hwy. 21 for about three miles. We’re on the right – the second farm after passing the intersection of Tabor Road.

From the South (Charlotte):
We’re about 45 minutes from Charlotte.

Go north on I-77 to Exit 54 which is one exit north of I-40 in Statesville. Turn right at the top of the exit ramp onto Highway 21 and go north 6.3 miles. We’re on the left after crossing the Rocky Creek bridge.

From the North (Virginia, West Virginia, and northern NC counties):
We’re about one hour from the North Carolina/Virginia border.

Go south on I-77 to 901. Turn east (left) on 901 to the flashing light in Harmony at Highway 21. Turn right and go south on Hwy. 21 for about three miles. We’re on the right after passing the intersection of Tabor Road.
