Ally and Ian had a wonderful, whimsical wedding with 100 guests in late June. Alison’s bright wedding featured red and blue with some yellow accents. They were married by Rev. Waldron at a 6 p.m. ceremony. A chandelier provided by the 1812 Hitching Post and arbor flowers provided by Cline’s Florist were the dramatic backdrop for their vows. Mason jars were hung on the aisles with blue hydrangeas from the Hitching Post gardens and white roses from Cline’s.
The photos were amazing and the reception was a blast. Alison’s blue cake with big white bow was butter flavor with chocolate filling. For dinner, they had ham, grilled chicken, tossed salad, scalloped potatoes, green beans, mac and cheese, and rolls. Appetizers were shrimp shooters, blue cheese cranberry puffs, stuffed mushrooms, and fruit and veggies.
The reception tables had red overlays and were set with silver chargers, white napkins, and centerpieces provided by Cline’s (vases, mirrors, and tealights provided by 1812 HP). The party favors were jelly jars with red and white gingham tops in a box with festive ribbons and trim. The kid’s table had pinwheels and the bar had party straws with flags and mustaches. The chairs were covered and had pool blue sashes. Alison did a play on her new last name by giving the chairs signs that said “Mr. Wright” and “Mrs. Always Wright.”
