The setting sun streamed through the giant oaks as Chelsea and Lee exchanged their vows at a 5:30 ceremony held mid-September.
Ceremony: 1812 Hitching Post natural wood arbor was decorated with plum, cream, and a touch of purple. Our rustic cross and burlap curtains completed the arbor decor. 1812 Hitching Post provided the wine barrel for the sand ceremony and the aisle mason jars with purple flowers and green berries on the aisle. The chairs were covered and had plum satin sashes. The honorary best man was represented by a photo on a stand next to the arbor. A sign in the yard said “Today as two families become one, we ask that you pick a seat, not a side.”
Reception: The tables had full length cream overlays with a burlap runner and were set with silver chargers and plum napkins. Centerpieces were a trio of blue mason jars with floating candles and babies breath. The bride provided party favors bags with “goofy” teeth and glasses with a photo frame requesting they use the individual table cameras to take goofy shots of each other.
Menu: Appetizers were fruit, veggies with dip, and bacon wrapped smokies.
Entrees were grilled chicken, spinach and Parmesan ravioli, zucchini, squash and onions, au gratin potatoes, house salad, and garlic bread. The bride provided cupcakes which were displayed a stands of various heights.
Extras: The bride provided corn hole games for her guests to play. The bride provided a “marital advice” basket and asked for guest contributions. Sparklers were provided for the couple’s send-off.
