Anna & Sean – May Wedding

One of the sweetest, most adorable couples I’ve ever met were married last May.   Anna’s step-father performed the ceremony and walked her down the first half of the aisle then handed her off to her bio dad while her step-dad then took his place as minister.  Sean literally bounced with excitement when he first saw Anna come down the aisle.  It was emotional and lovely.

Anna’s unique dress had a back floral applique detail with bling closure.   The bridesmaids wore soft, flowing gray dresses and the groomsmen wore suspenders.  Burgundy accents in the flowers and navy tablecloths with natural touches of burlap, wood, and lace completed the look.   Photography of the couple’s engagement, bridals, and wedding was by Taylor Cline.

Patrick and Wendy Waldron are the current owners of the farm now known as the 1812 Hitching Post. As an artist and historian, Patrick purchased the home in the early 1980’s and has spent more than 30 years restoring the property so that it stands ready for its 2012 bicentennial.

Wendy joined Patrick in 1999 and is a photographer and event coordinator. Both Pat and Wendy are romantics and have lovingly decorated the 1812 Hitching Post with treasures and finds that have captured their hearts.

When looking for a place to get married themselves, the Waldrons discovered how difficult it was to plan an intimate, stylish, and romantic wedding that is unique and creative. They created The 1812 Hitching Post so the couples of today could still have the elegance and comfort of a wedding in a homey setting from the past.
