At the 1812, we have lots of ceremony location options! Our 26 acres have shady lawns, sunny fields, quiet corrals, and tranquil lakeside settings.
Most couples decide to be married under the giant oak trees on the side yard next to the main house. Our biggest oak tree is the largest in the county and over 300 years old. Huge trees allow for shade all day. Light breezes and easy access to the house add to the comfort of your guests.
The wedding party enters by walking out the front door. They proceed down the brick walkway between the boxwood bushes. Then, they walk across the lawn between the chairs to the arbor.

The corrals of the 1812 Hitching Post are remote options for your ceremony.

Our tented courtyard reception area doubles as a place to hold your ceremony should the weather not cooperate. We’ll flip the space for your reception.

We have a circle shaped arbor (moon arch) and a triangle arbor. There is also a natural wood arbor designed and created from trees on the property. Each can be decorated to coordinate with your them.
You might choose potted palms, other trees, or ferns. You can also use flowers and rented or provided arbors. These elements help achieve the look you desire. We can hang fabric from our trees or arbors and we have rustic crosses and a chandelier if you’d like.
Every wedding is different; we encourage you to express yourself and send us your ideas!
