This weekday afternoon October wedding was beautiful with loads of special touches! Nothing says October more than S’mores and corn hole by the fire. We incorporated a vintage wine country theme throughout. The arbor had gorgeous asparagus fern garlands with fall colors. The tables were covered with gold and lace tablecloths and topped with wood wine barrels with flowers. Our barrels were on either side of the arbor and were later moved to the reception to hold the vintage typewriter and photos. The 1812 Hitching Post provided most of the rustic and vintage decor including the mismatched china and suitcases. Kristi Marie Photography provided these gorgeous photos.
Ashley & Jonathan had a lovely wedding the third Sunday in October that featured Ashley’s three children. Her daughter wore a charcoal gray dress and her boys wore cute suspender outfits. Ashley’s dress was a gorgeous blush with lace overlay.
The arbor and “almost naked” cake were decorated with fall flowers in orange, yellow, cranberry, and pink. Black lanterns hung on the aisle with burlap and lace bows and the tables were decorated with burlap and lace runners over gray. Centerpieces were a trio of vases with candles and popcorn.
After being announced to their reception, Ashley and Jonathan danced to Garth Brooks “To Make you Feel My Love.” Ashley and her father danced to “Daddy” by Abby Anderson. Jonathan and his mom danced to “I’ll Always be Your Mom” by Aimee Zimmerman. The couple had a sparkler send-off after a wonderful reception featuring appetizers of salad bar, fruit, and bar snacks and a buffet of BBQ chicken, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, baked potato bar, mac and cheese, and baked beans. It was a fun and kid-friendly wedding!
I’m continuing to add photos from some of my favorite weddings from the past couple years and here is another one of my favorites!
Photography for Shelby and Tyler’s wedding was provided by Taylor Cline Photography. Their wedding was so much fun! Shelby had some unique touches for her wedding including popcorn filled centerpieces to bring out the fall golden tones. We covered the arbor with fall leaves in all the tones of Autumn. Bridal flowers were provided by Willow Branch.
I went to look for a photo from this wedding and realized it had never been posted to our web site! You won’t find a couple more in love than Heather & Eric. Their wedding day was full of love and tender emotions. The wedding featured school colors in the bride’s bouquet, the wedding cake, and in other details. Heather released a red balloon in memory of her father. Live music was provided by “Musically Yours.”
At the reception, tables had navy tablecloths with white lace overlays and gray napkins to match the chair sashes. Chargers and candle centerpieces with submerged orchids completed the elegant reception look. Enjoy their photos taken by Taylor Cline Photography!
When Jennifer told me she wanted to be married as early as possible on the first of October so she could have lights on her arbor, we set the ceremony time at 7 a.m. This was the earliest wedding we’d ever hosted at the 1812 Hitching Post and it was beautiful! Jennifer and Kevin came by the evening before to decorate the arbor. The morning of the wedding, we tuned on the LED lights and lit the candles on the walkway. A fog made the outdoor photos unique. Jennifer’s adorable daughter had a light up crown with daisies. The bride was walked down the aisle by her father.
The Kramer’s sweet strawberry flavored cake was topped with daisies and was surrounded by wedding photos of the parents and grandparents of the couple. The couple shared a first dance to Zac Brown’s “Free.” After the ceremony, they all went to the Charlotte Renaissance festival.
